Personal Cancer Stories and Testimonials
I kind of know what some people are going through, but mine has just started, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer October and then Nov. they found a tumor on my spine with bone lose (T9 & T10), and I haven’t had any surgery or treatments yet because I have no insurance or income, I am scared, if anyone has any information of hospitals or researchers please let me know, I have spoke with a lot of Cancer Centers and they to need insurance…
A dear friend will loose her breasts to save her life …such is her risk of breast-cancer that the doctors ordered her to remove her breasts if she wants to live for her 4 year old son …talk about cruel ultimatum, not because she looses her breasts but because of the dooming possibility of this devastating illness…

In a world where customer service is hard to come by I was very appreciative to make your acquaintance. I hope some of the friends I’ve touted your web site to will inquire of your products.
Again, thank you for your guidance in critical illness insurance. (J. Rassmutin)

Questions / Comments?::I had 2 friends that died of cancer….they both had an insurance policy that paid them every time they had a treatment or if in hospital got $100 a day while in the hospital…..I now have another friend with cancer and need something like this to help cover expenses not covered by medical insurance…For the life of me I can not remember the name of the company…can you help me help my friend?
Cancer insurance resource center: Absolutely we can! We are so sorry to hear such stories and that it often comes down to waiting to witness another person go through it that we react. We will contact you directly to assist you in covering this responsibility and taking to covered.
Do you have a comparison of what an indemnity plan would payout vs. a lump sum payment. Using cancer as the illness?
Cancer Resource Center: Really it depends on how much lump sum you would be getting. Considering the fact that if you’ve major medical or not is also a factor. While a policy indemnity or defined expense benefit gives you a certain amount per listed item they may provide a total amount per procedure per day or max amount per month. I.e. Chemo radiation $400 per treatment a day up to $2200 a month and transportation $400 and so on (and again these are not real figures these are examples)
A lump sum if have a major medical a lot would be covered under the policy of major med. The things that would not like deductible, co insurance, home health care, clinical trials and experimental treatments that seem to work (such as Burzynski Clinic), loss of income for 6 months or more, mortgage and other bills etc. 62% of all bankruptcies were due to medical and critical illnesses like cancer, 78% had health insurance. (Harvard report) The shortfall seemed to be around $15,000 mostly non medical items that are not covered. In this light a lump sum policy might be better to have money in hand especially for lost income as disability insurance only will cover 60% of income you were making and you’d have to wait to receive it whereas lump sums are up front upon diagnosis. Especially if you have now more bills but less income.
